Peanut Butter Brownies

Peanut Butter Brownies

Do you like peanut butter? If you like eating peanut butter out of the jar or snack on peanut butter cups, you will love the combination of peanut butter and brownies. The parents and children at the bake sale will love the sweet taste of peanut butter in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter (unsalted)
  • 8 oz. of bittersweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp of kosher salt
  • 8 peanut butter cups (cut into pieces)

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place a pan on a stove over low heat to melt the chocolate and butter.
  3. Use a mixer to beat the sugar and eggs.
  4. Reduce the speed and pour vanilla and melted chocolate into the egg mixture.
  5. Add in flour, salt, and fold in peanut butter.
  6. Place the mixture in a buttered baking dish (9 X 13) to bake for 35 minutes.
  7. Serve.

Chocolate Mint Cookies

Chocolate Mint Cookies

Chocolate mint cookies are goodies with chocolate mint frosting on top. When you take a bite, you will taste a flavorful combination of soft chocolate cookies and mint. When you sell them at the bake sale and be sure they will become a hit, especially amongst people who love mint and chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips (semisweet)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 36 chocolate mint wafer candies

Preparation

  1. In a pan, add sugar, butter, and water and place it over low heat to melt the butter.
  2. Include chocolate chips and stir to soften them a little.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and stir to melt the softened chocolate.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bowl and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Beat the eggs into the chocolate mixture, one at a time, on high speed.
  6. Decrease speed and add baking soda, all-purpose flour, salt into the mixture, and beat to mix.
  7. Place the dough into the fridge for an hour.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  9. Make small balls, put them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.
  10. Unwrap the mints and cut each mint in half.
  11. Place half of each mint on the center of the cookie, let the mint melt into the cookies, and use a knife to spread the mint on the cookie.
  12. Serve.

Lemon Bars

Lemon Bars

The lemon bars are delicious, creamy, and extra citrusy. Parents can cook lemon bars with children for bake sale. You can bake extra lemon bars to store them in your fridge to eat later.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup of room temperature butter (unsalted)

Filling:

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 3 freshly squeezed lemons
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 100 g of packaged candied citron peel
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven for 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spread butter on your baking dish (9 X 13).
  3. In a bowl, combine sugar and flour.
  4. Use your hands to crumble the butter into coarse pieces.
  5. Place the butter crumbs on the baking dish, press them down to level them, and bake for 18 minutes, or until the edges turn golden.
  6. Place the baking tray on a rack.
  7. Use the same bowl to whisk eggs and sugar together.
  8. Add lemon juice, strain flour on top of it, and whisk until smooth.
  9. Sprinkle 1/2 of the citron peel on top of the base, pour lemon filling over it, and bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Take it out and let it cool.
  11. Sprinkle the lemon bars with sugar and citron peel, slice into bars, and serve.

Applesauce Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp of ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup of butter (unsalted and cut into pieces)
  • 1/2 cup of dates (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups of applesauce (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups of apples (peeled and chopped)

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Use parchment paper to line a square, 9-inch baking dish.
  3. Combine baking powder, flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in a bowl and place is aside.
  4. Place a pot, containing dates and butter, on a stove over medium-low heat.
  5. Add in butter and bring to a simmer.
  6. When the butter starts to give off a nutty smell, remove it from the stove, add vanilla and applesauce, and put it aside.
  7. Use an electric mixer to beat the eggs for 3 minutes on high.
  8. Incorporate 1/3 of the flour mixture to the egg mixture and stir to combine.
  9. Add 1/3 of the applesauce mixture and stir to combine. Repeat, until both the mixtures are incorporated into the egg mixture.
  10. Grease the pan with butter and bake for about 50 minutes.
  11. Take it out and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  12. Cut and serve.

Turtle Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup of butter (unsalted)
  • 14 oz. can of condensed milk (sweetened)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of pecans (chopped coarsely)
  • 3/4 cup of chocolate chips (semisweet)
  • 1 cup of chocolate and toffee baking pieces

Preparation

  1. Heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a food processor, mix sugar, flour, and butter.
  3. Pulse until it forms a crumbly dough.
  4. Use your hands or the back of a flat wooden serving spoon to grease a baking dish (9 X 13 inch).
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Combine vanilla, eggs, and condensed milk in a bowl and pour the mixture over the crust.
  7. Decorate with toffee pieces, chocolate chips, and pecans.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Place it in the fridge for 2 hours, slice, and serve.

Raspberry Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 packets of puff pastry sheets (frozen and thawed)
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1/4 cup of raspberry jam (seedless)

Preparation

  1. Dust the countertop with 3 tablespoon of sugar.
  2. Unroll the pastry puff sheets over the sprinkled sugar.
  3. Sprinkle the rest of the sugar over the pastry puff sheets.
  4. Press down gently to make the sugar stick to the sheets.
  5. Place half of the jam into one sheet and half on the other.
  6. Spread the jam evenly.
  7. Fold the opposite ends of each baking sheet, bringing them into the center.
  8. Fold the sides one more time into the center.
  9. Fold one side on top of the other and place the rolls in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  10. Place the racks in the bottom and the top of your oven and preheat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  11. Use parchment paper to line two baking sheets.
  12. Take out one roll from the freezer and slice dough, using scissors into 1/4 inch slices.
  13. Place the cookies 2-inch apart on the baking sheets. Repeat the process with the other roll in the freezer.
  14. Bake in the bottom and top racks for about 18 minutes, switching the placement of the dishes midway into the baking.
  15. Allow it to cool and serve.
