Chalkboard Easter Eggs
How AMAZING and SIMPLE is this idea? Although I know you’re eager to begin your Easter egg decorating, you’ll want to first follow these steps to make sure that you are painting hollow eggs. We wouldn’t want any egg yolk disasters now would we? You’ll Need:
- Eggs
- A bowl to blow the egg yolks into
- A needle or pin for making holes
Preparation: Push straight down with a needle or pin to make a hole at the top center of the raw egg. Be careful not to break the egg. Then, flip egg over and repeat on other side. Now for the fun part! To empty egg: Place your lips around the hole on the top side of the egg and blow until the egg yolk and whites come out of the hole in the bottom. To make it a bit easier, you can poke a hole in the membrane surrounding the egg and in the yolk with a toothpick. Another tip: make the bottom hole slightly bigger than the top. Now get to decorating! For this chalkboard egg design, all you will need is some chalkboard paint and chalk.
Bling Bling Easter Eggs
You can do this with real eggs or make it easier on yourself and grab your old plastic bunny eggs from last year. All you need is some paint and some glitter to dip the wet painted eggs into. Let dry and you’re all set!
Crayon-tastic Easter Eggs
After hard boiling eggs, color on the eggs while still warm. The wax will melt into your design. Let your creativity run wild!
Confetti Dipped Easter Eggs
Paint your eggs desired colors. Let dry. Dip into glue and while still wet with glue, dip into confetti. Simple and fun!
Island Pineapple Easter Eggs
Instructions
- Paint eggs yellow and let dry.
- Cut pineapple leaves, approximately 1"-3."
- Bend leaves a quarter inch at the bottom.
- Glue (with glue gun) a dab of glue on the underside of the tab you just made.
- Glue to top of egg.
- Repeat with other leaves.
* Tip: Start with tallest leaves and work your way out. You can curl the edges of the leaves with your fingernail to give it a different look.
Bedazzled Easter Eggs
