Rainbow Sprinkle Cookies

Kids like nothing more than colorful food. How about you surprise them with rainbow sprinkle cookies? You can even get them to help you out when baking them. Here is how you can wow your little ones today with these yummy and pretty looking cookies!
Ingredients
- Flour, 3 cups
- Sugar, 1 cup
- Egg, 1
- Softened unsalted butter, 226 grams or 2 sticks
- Vanilla extract, 2 tsp
- Salt, a pinch
- Sprinkles, as much as preferred
Preparation
- Start by heating the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl, add the butter and sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then add in vanilla extract and egg. Beat for 3 more minutes.
- Fold in flour and salt and then beat for another minute, so that it is well combined.
- Take a spoon of the cookie dough and roll in 1 inch balls.
- Spread sprinkles on a plate and roll the cookie dough balls in it.
- Line the baking tray with parchment sheet, place cookie on the tray and press slightly. Make sure all the cookies are 2 inches apart as they will expand when baking.
- Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until light golden.
- Take the baking tray out of the oven and allow the cookies to cool a little. Then take them out and spread on a wire rack so that they can cool completely. Serve with cold milk!
Lemon Gummy Bear Pops

Kids love Popsicles and gummy bears. Imagine giving them something that is a mixture of the two. They will be delighted! The best part of this recipe is that your kids can join in the fun of creating their very own gummy bear pops. Here is how you can make it.
Ingredients
- Lemon flavored Kool-Aid, 1 packet
- Gummy bears, 1 cup
- Sugar, ½ cup
- Water, 4 cups
- Edible color, if you want
- Popsicle molds
Preparation
- Mix the cool aid and sugar in a pan, along with water. Simmer on low heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Turn off heat and put the mixture in the freezer to cool.
- Take out after ½ hour and add gummy bears to the liquid.
- Pour the mixture ¾ ways full into the Popsicle molds and freeze overnight.
- To make the popsicles more interesting, you can add various colors to each mold and give them a little shake. This will make colored gummy bear popsicles!
Veggie Mac ‘n’ Cheese Cups

Ingredients
- Milk, 2 cups
- Cheddar cheese, 1 cup
- Shell pasta, 2 cups
- Bell pepper (diced), 1
- Carrot (diced), 1
- Peas, ½ cup
- Olive oil, 1 tbsp
- Salt, to taste
- Small oven safe bowls, as per needed
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- In a small pan, fry bell pepper, carrots and peas in oil till tender. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, pour in milk and add pasta to it. Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Keep stirring so that the milk does not boil.
- Then add in the veggies and cook for another two minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and fold in the cheese, until it is thoroughly mixed.
- Sprinkle salt and give another mix.
- Take Mac ‘n’ Cheese out in the small bowls and put them in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Take them out, let them cool and give them to your waiting children to enjoy!
Bite Sized Pumpkin Pies

Ingredients
- Premade pie crusts (refrigerated), 2
- Canned pumpkin, 1 cup
- Cream cheese (room temperature), 8 ounce
- Eggs, 2
- Egg white, 1
- Sugar, ½ cup
- Pumpkin pie spice, 1 tsp
- Vanilla essence,1 tsp
- Mini muffin tray
- Cookie cutter
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a bowl, mix together canned pumpkin, eggs, sugar, cream cheese, vanilla essence and pumpkin spice. Set aside.
- Roll the dough to thin it out a little.
- Use a cookie cutter to cut small circular disks. You can make 10-12 from one pie crust.
- Put these little dough disks in mini muffin tray in a way that they cover the base and walls of the muffin tray.
- Beat the egg whites and apply them on the mini muffin crusts.
- Put the pumpkin mix in the mini muffin crusts.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes. Let them cool slightly and then place on wire rack.
- Serve with warm milk!
Strawberry Swirl Yogurt Popsicle

Ingredients
- Strawberries, 2 cups
- Honey, 4 tbsp
- Fresh yogurt, 2 cups
- Popsicle molds
- Golden Syrup, for garnish
Preparation
- Wash the strawberries and then pulse them in a food processor so that they attain the consistency of a smoothie. Add some water if needed. Add in the honey and give another blend. Taste to see if the flavor is sweet enough for your children’s preference.
- Take out the pureed strawberries in a bowl and gently fold in the yogurt. Do not mix too much because you want to create a swirly look to the Popsicle.
- Pour the Popsicle mix in the mold and leave in the freezer overnight.
- When you take out the molds next day, take the Popsicles out by running it under warm water. Drizzle some golden syrup before handing them to your eager kids!
Mini Bread Pizzas

Ingredients
- Bread slices, 8
- Onion ( cut in thin rings), 1
- Tomato (cut in thin rings), 2
- Sausages (cut in thin rings), 3
- Unsalted butter, 2 tsp
- Bell pepper (cut in thin slices), 1
- Pizza sauce, ½ cup
- Cheddar Cheese slices, 8
- Salt, as per taste
Preparation
- Pre heat the oven to 250 degree F.
- Spread the bread slices on a board and spread the butter and pizza sauce on them.
- Then start layering the bread pizza. Start by adding onions, sausages, tomatoes and bell pepper. Sprinkle some salt and cheese on top.
- Place the bread pizza on a wire rack and put in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
Serve hot with ketchup and homemade lemonade!
